Vehicle Wraps & Marketing

I get asked by people that own their own small businesses about my wrapped car, 'The Backmobile" at least a couple of times per week. I wanted to do a quick blog post regarding my experience from doing vehicle advertising and what I think has worked for us:

1. Go Big or not at all: If you're putting something on a car or truck to be noticed, make sure you WILL BE NOTICED! This is not the time to hold back and go all conservative. You want to make people look at your vehicle, with that said consider this...

2. Have continuity between your business's unique selling position (USP) and imagery used on your vehicle. You want people to look at your vehicle and know what it is you're advertising. My car has a giant spine on it and still people will ask if I am a Chiropractor...don't be anything but crystal clear in your message.

3. Don't give total design freedom to the artist / wrap company. It's been my experience that art and effective advertising don't always present your desired message in the same way. Stay focused! This is for advertising. Get the message out that you want out then get it to look nice.

4. When you have the wrap installed, it is possible to have the seems of the wrap line-up with the seems of the car's body panels. Demand this. It will make your vehicle look better because with time any seems in the middle of body panels will accumulate dirt and road goo.

Good luck & make your vehicle outstanding!
